So lately I have been having trouble getting my daughter to sleep in her own bed, either she wakes up and gets my husband or I to help her into our bed or she will fight her sleep until I just make her lay down with us anyway. Now don’t get me wrong I love the cuddle monster when she wants to snuggle with mommie but I also like to wake up to a nice amount of breathing room. My daughter has this issue where she has yet to get the concept of personal bubble space( literally will talk an inch from your face). She loves kisses, hugs, general close conversation even though she doesn’t know how to whisper yet and I love it… most days. I hope I’m not the only one out there feeling this way, i remember the hard work I put in trying to get her to sleep in her crib or playpen not in the bed with me because so many websites, doctors, nurses, other moms say it is not safe.( again I am the worrying type). So I took pride when at 2 weeks old she was almost sleeping completely through the night and when after a month and a half I could get her to at least fall asleep in the crib so this is a little trying. I just want to be able to do my late night internet surfing, blogging, and all around staring at this bright computer screen without little fingers clicking on pop ups and grabbing my face for late night kisses and conversations. At this very moment I am getting hit in the face with a decorative pillow that was about 5 seconds ago behind my head, But I gotta love her, she is nothing if not entertaining. Ugh looks like it’s another night of close-ups, giggles, and being forced to read some long Dr, Seuss book 🙂 (Oh little tip no matter what you remember from childhood Dr. Seuss books are long I am talking 63 pages and rhymes and tongue twisters save yourself and buy the cliffnotes versions small hard baby safe because after a while all you will hope for is he would just eat the damn green eggs and ham already)
