Nothing says summer like a wave pool!
Summer is kicking into gear and although we live in the sunshine state the beach is not always our first choice for an adventure of fun in the sun. We ventured about an hour south to Daytona to check out Daytona Lagoon for the first time ever and we had a blast.

Daytona Lagoon located just shy of the beach has an attached car garage with a walkway to a shopping plaza and the beach, but we were there for the water slides. The entrance is welcoming with a game area for kids of all ages before you head out the back to the water park area.
They have lockers of various sizes to rent to store your belongs while you get lost in the multiple slides and lazy river.
We managed to try just about every slide at least twice as we roamed the park and played in the kid’s area where two large buckets take turns dumping their gallons of water on the waiting guest below. With plenty of floaties and life vests for kids of all ages safety is just as important as having a good time.
We took a much-needed break to grab some fuel because while you’re having fun you’re also getting in a good workout traipsing around the park. Nothing beats a good chicken tenders and fries combo.
After almost five hours the kids still didn’t want to leave but we needed to beat the rain. If you are looking for a great adventure just a short distance away for a day trip Daytona Lagoon is the place to beat for my Northeast Florida people. Affordable and Fun are always top of my list when it comes to picking our next great adventure.
