Every once in a while you find something unexpected, and that’s what we did this weekend as we journeyed to Williston, Fl to check out Cedar Lakes. If you are looking for an adventure outside this place is perfect for taking a little hike along a trail with multiple elevations from high to low in the query.

While visiting this past weekend for the Garden and spring festival we experienced a few vendors including some artisanal soaps and managed to leave with a purple mini venus flytrap. The view from up high was breathe taking and the view from the below even more amazing when you realize you’ve walked the whole trail.
Obviously, a few things you’ll want to bring with you would be sunscreen, water, bug spray, and a snack. While the trail was fun to experience the sun was out and hydration is key.

We also got the pleasure of seeing an over 100-year-old Bonsai tree and the most active tortoise of this size before. The route taken was a little rough so they do advise not every area is handicap accessible but never fear. They have a few ramps built that allow a view of the area without having to get below.

If you are like my kids and me and love the camera this is a perfect place to explore and take some beautiful pictures by yourself or with the family as a whole.
If you decide to check it out visit their website for more details and maybe even catch an upcoming event. Trust me it’s worth the drive.
