Did you know it can still snow in March in Pittsburgh?
Yeah well this Florida girl didn’t know that and I was NOT prepared and neither were my kiddos.
We recently went on a trip to the beautiful Pittsburgh for a business and while it was a little chillier than we would have liked it was amazing staying at the Hyatt House Pittsburgh. The kids got to see and play in the snow for the first time and go on their first plane ride too. But the best part was the beauty and comfort of the Hyatt House, so let’s get into it.

My son immediately made himself at home once we arrived after our 4-hour flight. The bed was made for relaxing with a view overlooking the river. Our room consisted of an L-shape couched that transforms into a pullout bed when it’s time for bed, a full-size kitchen with a breakfast nook, and a sliding barn door to enter the bathroom with a walk-in shower.
Centrally located on the river with multiple restaurants and shops within walking distance for a quick trip or cozy dinner date.

Easy access parking garage located on the bottom floor with an indoor pool and gym to keep warm from the snow flurries. Once we looked out the window and saw the courtyard covered in snow we had to grab our gear for a quick trip and photo session. (We totally had a mini snowball fight because why not?)

The view was magical and waking up every day to see if there was fresh snow on the ground was the highlight of the kid’s day. But being warm and cozy in our hotel room was another after playing until our noses were running and fingers were numb.
The lobby has an area where you can purchase snacks, drinks, and even some small meals. Breakfast is served daily in the dining room and comfy couches in the lobby.
If you are looking for a great place to stay on your next visit, definitely give them a shot to knock your socks off and are very kid-friendly. Stay tuned for more hotel reviews, family-friendly spots, and things to do to prep yourself and your kids for your next flight.
Until next time,
It looks like such a great stay and memories were made.
