Have you ever traveled to see your favorite artist in concert in another city?
If you’re gearing up for a swift escape to the heart of the Midwest city of Kansas City, Missouri for work or like me a once in a lifetime concert I’ve got some tips for you.
In this whirlwind adventure, I’ve compiled a list of must-see places and the perfect cherry on top – catching a live concert! Let’s dive into the ultimate guide for your quick trip to the City of Fountains

Discovering the City Market.
The first stop we made was exploring the city markets. City Market dates back to as early as 1857 as a site of commerce in the city. Today you can walk around and explore various shops from produce, gardening, candy, and of course dining.
We grabbed a quick bite and hit up Fountain City Scoops and Floats for this Harry Potter-inspired dessert.
Immerse yourself in the Arts.
During our trip, we also got to experience Spider-Man Beyond Amazing Exhibition located at Union Station. While the exhibit may not be there anymore exploring Union Station is still a great adventure to be had when visiting the gorgeous city. You get to immerse yourself in the city’s history and again anywhere food is involved you can catch me there.

Indulge in Kansas City Eats!
Ok, this was a bit of an adventure and if you follow me on TikTok you already know we had a time getting something to eat on our last day in town. But we tested out the City’s electric scooter collection for a few hours as we tried to find the best spot to eat. Do as I say and not as we did and take a selfie stick to prop your phone up to make sure you are going in the right direction and make sure the scooter is fully charged!
Mission Taco was amazing but it could have also been the three hours we spent scooting around town beforehand. For October it was pretty warm but always before you go on an adventure check the weather ahead of time and plan accordingly.
Soaking in the atmosphere of the Power and Light District.
For a taste of Kansas City’s nightlife, head to the Power and Light District. Packed with bars, restaurants, and live entertainment, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploration.
We had a concert to attend that night so we didn’t get to see the nightlight but we rode the streetcar(which is free) and honestly one of the coolest things I found in the city. Look at this barbie themed car!

Groove to the beats of a live concert at Arrowhead Stadium.
The entire reason I found myself in Kansas City, Missouri was to see Beyonce in concert with my friend. Her lovely husband purchased her tickets and all I had to do was get there so naturally I got there. We made some great friends along the way because driving was a nightmare to get to Arrowhead and back but worth it to have this adventure with her.

In just a short stay, you can experience the best of Kansas City’s cultural richness, culinary delights, and musical vibes. Whether you’re into art, nature, or vibrant city life, Kansas City has something for every traveler. Pack your bags and get ready for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of Missouri! Safe travels!
Oh and if you need to know a good place to stay come back for our next post on the beautiful Hotel Kansas City.
