Okay, seriously, who doesn’t love a good food adventure?
With all these new restaurants popping up like mushrooms after rain, it’s tough to keep up, right? But fear not, I’ve done some tasty recon this year, and I’m here to spill the beans on a few spots you gotta check out. Let’s dive in, shall we?

First up on my hit list is Magic Waffle in Mandarin. It’s this adorable little joint perfect for brunch or a quick afternoon mood boost. Picture this: a cute swing tucked in a corner for those insta-worthy pics to go with your meal. I went all-in on a breakfast sandwich, while my kiddo indulged in an ice cream waffle with all the fixings. Talk about a win-win!

Now, I’ll admit, the next one’s a bit of a hike for my Jacksonville crew, but trust me, it’s worth the drive. Enter Chez L’amour in downtown St. Augustine — the new kid on the block boasting live music, a cozy banquet room, and just the right vibes for a date night or a low-key office hangout. Sold, right? This pesto flatbread perfectly blended figs, pecorino, and mozzarella.

And if you’re just in it for a sweet treat fix, make a beeline to the fresh spot in town, Mayday & Do’s at the town center. Not only do they whip up in-house ice cream goodness, but Do’s on the other side of the counter can hook you up with coffee, wine, or a festive cocktail while you chillax. Perfect for watching your kids go wild on ice cream. Been there, done that!

So, these are my recent haunts that I’m totally spilling the tea on. Got any hidden gems I need to hit up? Drop your suggestions in the comments! Oh, and a quick shoutout to the forever faves: Mama’s Pizza, Fushimi Grill, Modern Buffet, and Arble Baking Co. for keeping our sweet tooth cravings in check. If you need more suggestions check out this other post Let’s Brunch. Let me know what you guys think – are you feeling these spots
