Summer Vacation means fun in the sun and lots of trips to the beach. This summer we planned a group trip to the infamous Summer Waves in Jekyll Island and man was it a blast. If you live in northeast Florida or the Georgia area and have littles this is a must-plan trip! So grab your mom friends and plan one now.
If you’re planning a group trip or just going with your family I recommend grabbing a cabana rental. It gives you the perfect amount of shade, there is storage for your items, and it comes with a mini fridge. This beat having to hunt for loungers to park out towels and shoes or our snacks and water getting too hot. The best part? Cabana rentals have their own order window to grab food from the infamous Larry’s Giant Subs inside the park. So you get to beat the heat and beat the line when you need some fuel. Trust me Summer Waves is an all-day event.
Recently they introduced a new set of water slides that had the crowd coming back for more. We got to enjoy the doubles open tube waterslide and some of the body slides with my youngest who swears he’s 10 feet tall. HItting up the wave pool and the lazy river was a big hit for everyone as well as the multiple mini-play areas for kids of different ages to enjoy as well.

Do yourself a favor and briskly walk ( because we don’t run near water) to Summer Waves for your end-of-the-summer event, you won’t regret it.
